Mr Wind
Blows on the window,
He tugs at the tree.
He rattles on the door knob,
But he can’t get me!
FOOTPRINTS
I’m leaving my footprints
I’m leaving my footprints
In this cool, oozy clay.
If the sun bakes them hard,
How long will they stay?
Never give up!
You know it’s right.
You know it’s right.
Keep on going and
You’ll shine so bright.
Encourage others!
That’s the way
You make people feel great
By the words you say.
Do your best
Give it all you’ve got.
Never hold back
Because you’ve got a lot.
Winter's Coming
Winter's coming
The hedgehog knows,
She’s curled her nose into her toes.
Winter’s coming –
The startling knows,
He’s changing to his pretty clothes.
Winter’s coming –
Our cat knows,
His think warm coat just grows and grows.
Winter’s coming –
Grandad knows,
He’s stacking firewood all in rows.
The library Poem
The more you read
The more you know.
The more you know
The smarter you grow.
The smarter you grow
The stronger your voice,
When speaking your mind
Or making your choice.
So…….. Read, read, read.
Nanny
Nanny weaves flax.
Over one, under one,
Criss cross, criss cross.
Under one, over one,
Zig zag, zig zag.
Snip snap, snip snap –
My new schoolbag.
Stop, Look and Listen
Before you cross the street.
Use your eyes, use your ears
Before you use your feet.
Harold
5+ a Day
Fruit and veges are good for your tummy,
Fruit and veges are good for your tummy,
Taste yummy and scrummy.
Fruit and veges are good for your tummy,
Taste yummy and scrummy.
5+ a day keeps the doctor away.
5+ a day is the only way.
Harold
He’s Harold the giraffe.
He’s Harold the giraffe.
He’s happy and he’s healthy,
And he always makes us laugh.
He shows us healthy food,
And says to you and me,
“You will stay strong and healthy too,
If you have variety.”
Cross Country
Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Cross country, cross country,
Off we go!
Running round the tall trees all in
a row.
Cross country, cross country,
I can see my friends.
Running up and down the hill.
Will it ever end?
Cross country, cross country,
I’ve had enough!
Running to the finish line,
Puff! Puff! Puff!
Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream,
Until you hit the waterfall -
Then you’ll start to scream.
I AM SPECIAL
I am special,
you are too.
There’s only one of me
and
there’s only one of you!
My Flower
I had a little seed,
and I put it in a pot.
I put it in the sunshine,
and I watered it a lot.
I waited and I waited.
I watched it grow and grow.
And then one day a flower
came out to say hello.
Clowns
I wish I was
a circus clown.
I'd make people laugh
when I feel down!
I'd have baggy pants
and big floppy shoes.
A tiny pink hat
and trick balloons.
A flower that squirts
and a big cheeky grin.
To be a clown
would be lots fo fun!
MY CAT
My cat
is getting fat
from lying on my bed.
My cat
won’t catch a rat
because he’s too well fed.
Dream Pet
I dreamed I owned a dinosaur,
I kept it as a pet.
He really caused a panic when I
took him to the vet.
I shoved him in a waiting room,
A woman gave a shout,
The dogs all started barking, so I had
to take him out.
The dinosaur was so afraid he hid
behind a car.
The vet said “You’re too big to hide, I know
just where you are!”
Before the vet could calm him down
he’s galloped to the park,
His big teeth made a racket as they
chattered in the dark!
Autumn
Leaves
The autumn leaves
Grab at my hands
As I go past.
“Help! Help!” they call.
“We’re
F
A
L
L
I
N
G…”
MR MONARCH
A beautiful butterfly
Passes me by.
I see its bright colours
Flashing out in the sky.
Dancing through the trees,
Your wings on fire,
I try to touch you,
But you just fly higher.
Please, Mr Monarch,
Come down and play.
I reach out to you,
But you fly, fly away.
DUCKS
We dibble-dibble-dabble when it rains,
Quack! Quack!
We dibble-dibble-dabble when it’s hot,
Quack! Quack!
We dibble-dibble-dabble when it’s cold,
Quack! Quack!
We dibble-dibble-dabble when it not,
Quack! Quack!
Crab
Catch a crab!
Mind your finger!
Mind your toe!
Catch a crab,
Then let it go!
SWIMMING
When I go swimming,
I love it so.
I become a dolphin,
splashing to and fro.
I jump around,
like a playful seal.
I dart around,
I’m an electric eel.
I splash and swim,
I love to play.
It’s the greatest thing,
to do all day.
Hiwi the Kiwi….
I’m Hiwi the Kiwi I live
in a nest
I come out at night in the
daytime I rest
I live in the forest floor
down by a creek
My nostrils are found at
the tip of my beak
There’s two large feet at
the end of my legs
And Wiki my wife lays extremely
large eggs
My wings are so short I
can no longer fly
I live in New Zealand I’m
your kind of guy.
